Nautilus Park
Corporate
Nautilus Park is an existing four building research and development complex for the biotechnology field in the Torrey Pines area of San Diego, CA. To provide more efficient user plans, the design team first relocated square footage to omit re-entrant corners resulted in a rectalinear plan. This net zero increase provided significant area for the site amenity development.
The design aesthetic was then achieved by removing the existing EIFS and storefront skin and replacing it with a new glass curtain wall system providing full vision windows for the tenants. However, with this much glass, energy usage was a concern. To resolve this, high performance glass was used to meet code requirements and meet LEED Gold requirements.
The facility has been designed to exude a high end design through rich finishes, lighting and the glass curtain wall to define the exterior cafe space.

Rock of Ages Baptist Church
Corporate
Rock of Ages has a goal to educate and help the traditionally lower income people in Chicago’s Maywood Neighborhood. The program for the school and administrative center was for 50,000 square feet of clssrooms, church offices and a large banquet hall.
The solution was to make an architectural statement while respecting the existing church. The rotated, granite clad cornerstone provides a dramatic base for the glass and brick structure. The soaring main lobby welcomes all and displays the mission of the church and its place in the community.
